Please call ahead before traveling long distances. MR
Dear Praying Friends,
I was thinking it must be about time to write an update letter, and then I looked at the date of the last one and realized that it is way overdue!
We are still alive and well, and running all over the country preaching and singing, even though we have neglected to stay in touch.
Most things are back to some semblance of “normal”, although we are still dealing with occasional modifications in some of our meetings due to COVID.
With all of the strangeness and upheaval last year, we were glad to see 2020 come to a close, but now it seems that 2020 wasn’t the end of the strangeness, it was just the beginning!
2021 has been a busy year already, with meetings all across the country, starting out the year in PA, OH, KY, and VA.
In March we had revival meetings in Idaho, and Arizona, before heading all the way back across the country for an Easter Revival at Trinity Baptist Church in Warrenton, Virginia. Please pray for Pastor Vinton Williams and his wife, they have had very serious health issues this year already.
Our next meeting was at Soul’s Harbour Baptist in Roanoke, Alabama. You may have heard about the tornados that hit that part of the country, well, Soul’s Harbour didn’t just hear about it, they experienced it! Their Church building was destroyed, but they were able to move into the fellowship hall for services and we had a great revival meeting.
We were reminded about how our God can bring “beauty for ashes” (Is. 61:3). Because of the storm that destroyed one building, four other churches were able to get pews, another got a new baptistry, and many others were blessed. Sometimes we just focus on our circumstance, and forget that God always has a purpose.
We had a wonderful time at Capitol City Baptist, in Austin, TX and Huisache Avenue Baptist, in San Antonio, in May. It was good to back in Texas again.
Last year, one of the meetings that had to be cancelled was the “Bread of Life Camp Meeting” at the Fellowship Tract League, in Lebanon, Ohio. This year, the Camp Meeting was back on, and the people were excited to be there. We had the privilege to sing and preach again this year, and we had a great week. The Lord blessed in a great way and not only was enough money raised to pay for the load of over ten million tracts sent to Pakistan, but enough was raised to pay off the rest of the new tract building. What a mighty God we serve!
Many of you have asked about my mother, and we have some good news on that front. They are now allowing family into the assisted living facility, as long as you wear a mask, and go strait to the room. Because of that, my sister has been able to go in and call me from the room, so that I can talk to Mom. Praise the Lord! We are looking forward to being able to spend time with her in person when we visit Alaska in August.
The response to our new CD, “Blessed”, has been exceptional. You can order it, or download it from our website.
We are working on new music now, and should have some good things coming before the end of the year.
Check out our website for our itinerary, and we’ll look forward to seeing you!
God bless you,
Mark, Liz, Hope & David Rogers
This is one of our most requested songs, sung in August at our home church in Fairbanks, Alaska. Enjoy!
