Dear Praying Friends
We have been waiting for warm weather and now we have it! This week we are in Pasco, Washington, and it is forecasted to be over 100 degrees for the next several days!
It has been a busy, yet enjoyable summer season thus far. Hope was able to be with us for about six weeks, and it was a blessing to have all four of us together again. Hope was excited to be able to be home for David’s graduation and to be able to sing with us again.
Just a couple of weeks after Hope got home, I was able to go out to Oklahoma City and be a part of the “Ministry Refresher Institute” at Heartland Baptist Bible College. I taught several sessions for those involved in music ministry, and I was encouraged by their enthusiasm and their desire to serve the Lord in their churches through music.’
We were blessed to be able to be a part of the “Bread of Life Camp Meeting”, for the Fellowship Tract League, again this year. If you are looking for a way to impact the world with the Gospel, look no further than the Fellowship Tract League. They have faithfully sent out millions of Gospel tracts around the world over the years, and they are not slowing down now!
Our trip to Alaska in June was a tremendous success. We were able to be at our home church, Bible Baptist Church in Fairbanks, as well as several others, and also got to spend some time with family while we were there.
People always want to know if we saw any moose while we were in Alaska. Yes, indeed we did. Since we were there in June, we even got to see a couple of young moose calves. It is truly the only time a moose is cute.
As soon as we got back from Alaska, we made our way to Toledo, Ohio for the annual “Heartland Bible Conference” at Hope Baptist Church. It is not only a privilege to get to preach and sing for that meeting, but also a wonderful opportunity to sit back and hear some good preaching.
Hope left us at the end of June, to go back to Oklahoma City, so that she could work for the rest of the summer and save up some money for her second year of college.
David will be with us until the middle of August, when we drop him off to begin his first year of college. We are going to make him sing a lot in the next few weeks as we have meetings in Washington, Montana, New Mexico, Ohio, and Kansas, because after that, it will be just Liz and myself for awhile.
The 4th of July preaching conference at Treasure Valley Baptist Church in Meridian, Idaho, was a blessing. The singing, preaching, food, and fireworks were all good, and the Lord blessed with a couple of people getting saved. You can’t beat that!
Thank you for praying with us about getting rid of our RV. There were a few repairs that needed to be done before they put it up for sale, and I got word today that the repairs are finally done. Praise the Lord! Please pray with us that it will sell quickly.
There will be some adjustments as we go back to living out of suitcases year ‘round, but the Lord knows all of that, and we trust that He has everything under control.
Many of you have asked about the availability of our older recordings. We are slowly, but surely, getting them up on our website, so that you can purchase and download them there. “Jesus Leads” just went up last week, and more are coming soon.
In the near future, we will also be putting sermons up on the website that can be purchased and downloaded.
Check out the website from time to time to see what we have available.
God bless you,
Mark, Liz, Hope & David Rogers
