Ministry Update

February – May 2015

Dear Praying Friends,

The warm weather is finally here and we are enjoying it! For a while there, it seemed winter would hang on forever, and now we’re starting to complain about the heat! I guess we’re just never satisfied.

One thing that remains constant regardless of the weather, is the goodness of God. What a privilege to see God work in people’s lives as we travel around the country preaching and singing the Gospel.

I am pleased to announce that our new CD, “Thankful” is out and available on our website. For the first time, we now offer online credit card ordering, so if you don’t have it yet, you’ll want to get a copy right away.

This was our first project to include the whole family and we are very excited to have Hope and David joining us on the singing. They were very excited to be with us in the studio and I think they have gained a better appreciation for the work involved in the recording process.

Our time in Fairbanks was very busy, as it always is, since we had to work practicing, recording and visiting friends into the short time we had. It was a real blessing to be able to be at our home church, if only for a few days while we were there.

People are always surprised when they hear that we go to Alaska in December and January, but we really had very pleasant weather this year. As a matter of fact, we began to feel that we might have headed south a little too early this time!

The last Sunday of January we were at Southwest Baptist Church in Oklahoma City with Pastor Jason Gaddis. Southwest is a great church and Bro Gaddis has done a fine job there since becoming the senior Pastor.

We finally made it back to our house in Kentucky just in time to take part in a special service honoring Dr. David Pierce for his 50th year of ministry. Dr. Pierce pastors Faith Baptist Church in Franklin, KY, right next door to our house. He and the church have been a tremendous blessing to us over the years. They watch over our house and make sure everything is in order as we travel. It would be very difficult for us to maintain a home without their faithful help.

What a privilege it was for us to be in Franklin that weekend and to take part in the 50th anniversary service. Fifty years of ministry is certainly worth celebrating! Thank you Dr. and Mrs. Pierce for your faithful service!

In February we had some great meetings in Ohio and Pennsylvania. We also had temperatures of -20 degrees and we were wishing we had stayed in Alaska where it was warm!

The months of March and April found us in Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia. We had some great meetings and saw the Lord work in people’s lives. We were able to be with Pastor Patrick Creed at Bayshore Baptist Church in Kilmarnock, Virginia and it was exciting to see what the Lord is doing there in that new church plant. I believe the Lord has some great things in store for that new church.

Liz has had a busy schedule of Ladies Meetings all through the spring and God has used her to be a real blessing to ladies all over the country.

One of the highlights of the month of May was the Bread of Life Camp Meeting at the Fellowship Tract League in Lebanon, Ohio. We had a great time at the meeting and enjoyed having the opportunity to help load boxes of tracts to be sent around the world. It had been several years since we were able to attend the camp meeting, so it was good to be back and see what is happening there. It was a blessing to be able to preach and sing throughout the week, but it was also a wonderful blessing to sit back and be blessed by others’ preaching and singing. The Lord is good!

If you are on the eastern side of the country, you will want to join us June 15-19 for the annual Bible Conference at Hope Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio. If you are anywhere near the Northwest August 11-13, you will want to join us at Treasure Valley Baptist in Meridian, Idaho for the Northwest Pastor’s School. You can find out more about these meetings on their church websites.

We have a busy summer ahead of us with lots of miles to travel and lots of work to do. We are grateful for your ongoing encouragement and prayer support. We could never thank you enough.

God bless you,

Mark Rogers
