Ministry Update

March - May 2008

Dear Praying Friends,

We are doing well and enjoying the spring weather in Idaho this week. It seems that we follow the "allergy season" as it moves across the country and get to experience it over and over again. We're certainly not complaining, as it sure beats driving through snow storms!

There were plenty of those snowy days in March as we covered territory from Colorado to Maine, but we had some great meetings and saw many precious souls come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

We were privileged to be at Calvary Baptist Church in Canon City, Colorado, for a revival meeting the first week of March and then stopped off for services at Beaver Dam and Hopkinsville, Kentucky, on our way out to the Northeast.

I had never been to Maine before, so I was excited to get to Westbrook Baptist Church and see what the Lord is doing there. Pastor Stoeber has been used of the Lord to plant an independent, Bible-believing Baptist church on the south side of Portland. We had several folks saved that week and we left there encouraged.

The next week we were in Plainville, Connecticut, at First Bible Baptist Church. Pastor Benson was a gracious host and made us feel right at home. God gave us some great victories that week as well.

The last few days of March we were in a revival meeting in Spotsylvania, Virginia, at Calvary Baptist Church. It was our first time at the church so we were excited to be there, but we were just as excited to have warm weather so that we could begin travelling in our fifth wheel again. It was just like "going home!" Pastor Ron Owens and the folks at Calvary Baptist have done a great job there and the Lord is blessing their hard work.

We spent the next two weeks in meetings in Dalton, Ohio, and Magnolia, Ohio, before going back to our house for a five night stay. What a blessing that was! I got to get out and get some yard work done and managed to get dirty and plant a couple of trees, what a blessing!

After our time at the house, we went up to be with Pastor Kevin Folger at Cleveland Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio, where we had a wonderful Sunday of singing and preaching and saw the Lord do an amazing work in hearts and lives. It is really amazing to see how God orchestrates just the right message at just the right time for His people. God is so good.

May was a good month with meetings in Amissville, Virginia, and then Ashland, Sandusky and Hillsboro, Ohio, before flying out to the annual Bible Conference at Treasure Valley Baptist Church in Meridian, Idaho. We have been a part of this meeting for several years now and always look forward to not only preaching and singing, but also having the opportunity to hear some choice men of God preach to us.

One of the preachers with us this week in the Bible Conference was Dr. Sam Gipp. Many of you know Brother Gipp and have been blessed by his faithful ministry. Right now he is going through some serious health issues and I know he would appreciate you praying for him over the next couple of weeks.

We are looking forward to a busy summer with meetings all around the country and even up in Canada. Please pray for safety as we travel the roads. There are always challenges and right now one of the largest seems to be the ever increasing cost of fuel. It's a good thing that our Heavenly Father owns the "cattle on a thousand hills" and has it all under control.

God bless you,

Mark Rogers
