October 2006 - January 2007
Dear Praying Friends,
Here we are in 2007 already! The last year certainly went by quickly, but it was a year of great blessing.
We finished out October with meetings at Heritage Baptist Church in Woodbridge, Virginia and Frederick Baptist Temple in Frederick, Maryland. Both of these are great churches that are on fire for the Lord and doing a good job in their respective areas in the shadow of our nation's capitol.
In November we started out the month with three weeks of meetings in Ohio and were blessed to have my mother fly in from Alaska to spend Thanksgiving with us and travel with us to a couple of meetings. The Lord blessed us with beautiful weather in Kentucky for Thanksgiving and my mother said it was the warmest she has ever been that time of the year!
The next week we were at Victory Baptist Church in Millbrook, Alabama and had a good time with the folks there. God has used Pastor Sanders to build a tremendous ministry there in Millbrook.
After leaving Alabama we headed north to New Paris, Indiana for a revival meeting with Dr. Daniel Haifly and the good folks at Grace Bible Baptist Church. Bro. Haifly has been able to take advantage of some unique opportunities for ministry in that area and God is greatly using that church.
When we left Indiana we caught a plane to Alaska to spend a few days at our home church in Fairbanks, record a new CD and spend Christmas with family. It was a very busy trip but it was a real blessing to be able to do it. On Christmas day we flew to Washington to be with Liz's family for a few days and celebrate a late Christmas. While we were in that area we were able to preach in several churches in the area, Calvary Baptist in Yakima, WA, Berean Baptist in Pendleton, OR and Riverview Baptist in Pasco, WA.
As I write today I am in Japan, preaching a revival meeting at Yokota Baptist Church. It is my first trip overseas and it has been a tremendous experience thus far! Missionary Warren Webster has done a great job here at Yokota Baptist and has a good group of people involved in the work here. It is exciting to see the young men called to preach and preparing to go out into various areas of service to our Saviour when they leave this place. That is a good sign of a healthy church!
Please continue to pray for us. Both of the children have been struggling with the flu, but it appears that we may finally have gotten through the worst of it. Praise the Lord! We depend upon the faithful prayers of God's people to keep us going strong.
Please remember to pray as well for Liz's mother, Mrs. Dorothy Paisley. The doctors have referred her to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. All of her records have been sent to the hospital and they are just waiting to find out when she needs to be there. We know that the God who made her body has the power to heal her if it is His will. We appreciate greatly your prayers for Bro. and Mrs. Paisley.
We are excited about what the Lord is going to do in 2007. Our new CD of duets should be available sometime in April, Lord willing. It is a collection of twelve songs that we believe will be a real blessing to you.
I believe that we don't have too much longer until the Lord returns, let's be busy serving Jesus when the trumpet blows!
God bless you,
