Ministry Update

October 2003 - January 2004

Dear Praying Friends,

Another year has flown by and we now find ourselves in 2004. This could be the year that Jesus comes back and we rise to meet Him in the air. The sooner the better!

The Christmas season was a good time for us this year with family and friends. Liz and I were able to spend a few days in Pasco, Washington, with her family for Christmas and we then flew to Alaska to be with my family for a few days before getting back "on the road." Now we're rested up and ready to go!

2003 was a good year.  We covered more miles than ever and had some great meetings around the country. What a blessing to see what God is able to do in hearts and lives as we serve Him. We can truly say with the apostle Paul, "And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;" (I Timothy 1:12).

Many of you have asked if we could put the "Scripture Songs" on CD.  You will be glad to know that we finally have those available. They are the same as the tapes, including the instrumental tracks; they just don't wear out as quickly. The CD's are listed on our web site, www.mrogers.com, and are now available to be ordered.

In October, we had meetings in Ohio, Washington and Arizona and then headed right back across the country to spend November in Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Ohio once again. With all of the cross-country driving, you will probably not be surprised to hear that we occasionally have to get repairs made on the van. While we were in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, we had to get the rear axle of the van replaced.  Pastor Dave Smith and the folks of First Bible Baptist Church in Harmony, Pennsylvania, heard about the situation and sent over a special offering to help out with the cost. God always meets the needs that arise.

We started out December in Crawfordville, Florida, with a revival meeting at Central Baptist Church where Bro. John Slater is the pastor.  It was nice to get in a little more sunshine and warm weather before going north to Bourbonnais, Illinois, where we found snow on the ground and cold temperatures.  It's good to know that God continues to work regardless of the weather. We had a great day at Faith Baptist in Bourbonnais and were very encouraged to see what the Lord is doing there.

When we left Illinois we headed over to Oklahoma City for a chapel service at Heartland Baptist Bible College and then back to Tennessee, Ohio and Washington, where we spent Christmas with family before finishing the year with a great day at Faith Baptist Church in Tacoma. Brother Mark Smith is doing a great job at Faith Baptist and God has truly blessed the ministry there.

You will want to check out the pictures on the web site.  There are some unique photos from the past few months featuring everything from preachers to alligators!

We are now back in Alaska and will be in meetings around the State until the middle of February.  Please continue to pray for God's blessing on the meetings as well as protection as we travel.

I am asking God to make 2004 our most productive year yet, with more souls saved and more lives changed by the power of God than ever before.  Please join us in praying, working and serving.  It will be exciting to see what God does this year.

God bless you,

Mark Rogers
