Ministry Update

January - March 2001

Dear Friends,

I am finally finding the time to sit down and update you on what has been going on since January. God has been good, and the response in the meetings has been very exciting.

Thanks to those of you who pray, we have seen a good number of folks saved already this year and we are looking forward to even greater blessings in the future.

Bro. Roman Gray joined me on the road for a revival meeting at Massillon Baptist Temple in Massillon, Ohio, the third week of January and has been doing a great job ever since. We had a great meeting there with Dr. Emery and saw God do some great things throughout the week. Bro.Gray has been a real blessing and has been able to do some work with the young people as well as play his banjo from time to time.

The last week of January we were in Greenville, Pennsylvania, with Pastor Keith Troyer at Grace Baptist Church and then over to Harmony, Pennsylvania, to be with Pastor David Smith at First Bible Baptist. The Lord gave us some great meetings in both of those churches.

After leaving Pennsylvania, we spent a week in revival at Landmark Baptist Church in Petersburg, Virginia. I really got a workout that week with the services at night as well as services every morning in the Christian school. Since I am a ìhistory buffî I took the opportunity to visit some of the Civil War battlefields in the area. There are some pictures of our excursion on the website. Pastor Steve Congdon was a very gracious host.

The last two weeks of February we had meetings in Ohio. God really blessed during the revival at the Baptist Tabernacle in Carlisle. Pastor Mike Gray told us that the people of the church had prayed around the clock for the services before we got there, and it sure was worthwhile. The spirit among the people was excellent, and we saw folks saved that week as the result of all of the prayer that was put into the meeting.

I was privileged to be a part of the dedication meeting for the new building of Hope Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio. God has blessed the ministry there and they now have a beautiful new facility to fill up! You will want to mark your calendars for the annual Heartland Bible Conference at Hope Baptist this year. The dates are June 18-22, and it would be well worth your time to attend. This conference is always a time of encouragement and refreshing, not to mention the fact that the ladies at Hope Baptist sure know how to cook!

We had a great time with the folks at Bible Baptist Church in Lancaster, Ohio, the last week of February. We saw several folks trust Christ as Saviour that week.

March has gone by so quickly that Iím not altogether sure where it went! We started off the month with revival meetings in Warrenton, Virginia, and Lexington, Kentucky, and then flew to Alaska for a missions conference at Resurrection Bay Baptist Church in Seward.

I have been at my home church in Fairbanks for the last several days trying to get caught up on some paperwork as well as preparing for the annual menís retreat later this week at Victory Bible Camp in Palmer, Alaska. I also found time to get some pictures taken and visit the dentist.

Monday and Tuesday I was able to get into the studio and get some recording done, so I should have a brand new project ready by the middle of June. I chose twenty songs for this recording that cover a period of time from 1912 to 1979 and should bring back some wonderful memories.

There will be a whole new set of pictures on the web site soon as well as an updated itinerary for the coming months.

Thank you for your continued support.

God bless you,

Mark Rogers
